Feeding Firsts was created with the thought, and later discussion on giving back to our first responders and military families.\u00a0 The idea is simple, give them a free meal, as a thank you.\u00a0 Being a first responder is a thankless job, these heroes go about their business, doing their job everyday, without asking for anything in return.\u00a0 We felt they deserved to know, people care.<\/p>\n
With the current Coronavirus, we’ve also felt that those on the front lines should be included!<\/p>\n
Feeding Firsts is very new, and started on NO budget.\u00a0 We currently are picking a location, buying food out of our pockets, delivering it ourselves (or possibly having it delivered in some cases).\u00a0 The food purchased will be from different restaurants around the area near the location chosen.\u00a0\u00a0 We hope that in time, local restaurants will\u00a0 work with us on discounts.<\/p>\n
Currently we’re in SE Michigan, in Monroe County.\u00a0 We will be serving locations in SE Michigan and NW Ohio.\u00a0 Over time we’d love to have people from other areas join us and serve their local first responders too!\u00a0 We’d also like to in time, possibly have a location, they could come and get a home cooked meal.\u00a0 These could be ordered online, then could eat there, or take it to go.\u00a0 The online ordering would make it quick saving them time!\u00a0 In addition to those first responders working at the time, we’d like to extend it to the families as well.\u00a0 First responders aren’t the only ones who serve, the families do too!\u00a0 In time we hope to make this a reality.<\/p>\n
